| Trees in Michigan Avenue median |
Believe it or not, we’re already well into one of the major events of our summer: planting the 2.3 miles of medians on Michigan Avenue, one of Chicago’s most visible horticultural attractions. We’ve designed each of the streetscape’s 55 medians, selected the plants, specified the quantities, and the contractor was given the go-ahead to begin growing each of the 24,500 plants that will fill the medians. In honor of that (and the fact that we’re desperate to see some GREEN), we’re posting a news segment from WGNTV, on the design of the streetscape from last year. I’ll post more about how it all happens as we get closer to spring and summer, including a bit about what you can expect to see as the seasons progress.
Okay, so that's their take on it!
