Best place to see and smell fresh flowers in the summer, besides visiting a botanical garden, is at a wedding!


Bride's mother made arrangements from July flowers currently blooming.

Reception was held at Badger Farms in Deerfield, Wisconsin located just outside Madison. The farm owners rent out a newly renovated 1920 barn adjacent to their home for weddings, meetings, etc.   Badger says on its web-site that it's doing its part to Go “Green” and help the environment - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Tip: If I owned it, I'd take one of those 400 acres they have and plant perennial and herb gardens. Looking out at hay fields is okay, but why not kick it up a notch? 


And where else can you go to a wedding and bring home a few bales of hay if you're in the market? One square bale costs $2.50 and goes up from there. Doesn't sound like they'll run out: they produce 55,000 square bales and 1,300 round bales each year.
