Driveway Disaster

Yesterday we helplessly watched as our crushed granite driveway flowed like a river all over our yard, most of it landing at the bottom in a heap.


While it wasn't of Joplin, MO proportions, thank goodness, it did make us wonder if maybe we should go back and do the asphalt "thing" again.

This is, of course, rare and the worst we have seen since the granite was added. Any previous damage due to Nature had been fixed by a quick rake-over, but with 47 mph wind gusts and powerful thunderstorms creating flooding downpours that dropped three inches (7+ for month of May) of water in a short time period, there wasn't much we could do but wait it out. 


The fate of my plants? Well, I am holding my breath!
