Ramm Road Backyard Paradise

My gardener friend, Judy, had her plant sale this weekend. This woman has to have every possible garden whimsy item possible, including nifty bird houses perched on old tree stumps; a beautiful selection of stone menagerie; and spiky and unique iron stakes  She has a couple of water gardens and gorgeous arbors her husband makes for her—lucky, lucky.

The arbors are merrily draped with various climbing perennials such as climbing hydrangeas and wisteria which thrive in her wonderful fertile soil. The wood arbors are adorned with antique whimsies. I, of course, buy a few plants, but I go more for the “show” than anything and the garden tour walk with a guide who is an experienced and top-notch gardener.

So if you’re in the neighborhood, she’s on Ramm Road, west of Rt. 47 in Maple Park and she has a sign out when she’s selling--perhaps this coming weekend.  You can’t get a better plant than one that’s home-grown, loved, and pampered than from the actual grower’s yard!

We also stopped at Wiltse's Farm and took pictures down the road, further east on Rt. 38 at Acquaviva's wine orchard. More on those later! Too many neat places to visit when the temperature finally, finally reaches 75!
