I thought up some new ideas to add a little pizzazz and personality to the old bottles used to decorate those bottle trees. By the way, most of those trees use rebar to make the fake bottle-tree skeleton.
Instead of leaving the bottles plain, why not decorate before attaching? A few ways come to mind: Wrap, knot (macramé), glue (a.k.a. decoupage—pictures of relatives and/or flowers), paint, glitter, stencil, etc. It might look so great when you’re finished you will put it (them) in a living-room corner instead of outside!
