While driving down Dean Street on Saturday Andy saw a hand-written sign that simply said “Healing Gardens” with an arrow pointing down a long driveway, so curiously we followed it to the end.

I'd call it a Zen, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thoreau take on experiencing nature. It felt very existential as we meandered the two-plus acres soaking in a myriad of charming flower islands and paths that led through wooded areas where around every corner it seemed like a whimsical niche with a wood stump, bench, or swing beckoned one to sit, listen to nature, and meditate. You certainly don’t have to be “religious” to find healing properties within nature. "Come find your own path to wellness," is written on the Healing Garden web-site.
