The answer is "Not to Rake." We didn't rake oak leaves in this garden area this year and my question is, why bother? Can you tell the difference? Not only did we not rake leaves, we gathered up and saved the leaves from the grass areas in the fall and spread them back on the paths in the summer saving $ on store-bought mulch. The oak leaves also act as a great mulch.
