Super Trees and Super Views

Here's a cool garden to visit if you are planning on being near Singapore during mid-June. It's call Gardens by the Bay.  Highlights are the eighteen sculptures which are nine to 16 stories high entitled Supertrees and located in the Golden-Silver Garden which is unfortunately closed until June 12th if you plan on visiting.  Since I am always looking for new projects for the garden, these giant sculptures really caught my eye. I wonder. Were these made with plain old rebar?

Meanwhile, currently open is the 2km waterfront promenade with amazing views of the modern Marina Bay financial district skyline.

Closer to home the Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota, Florida has pretty spectacular waterfront views too.
