Looking for New Walkway and Garden Path Ideas?

Strolling down Michigan Avenue on a fall day in October.

South of Chicago Art Institute Garden (Grant Park) -  Painted deck-board path

This walkway satisfies all the neat things needed to transform an
ordinary garden into a masterpiece.
Artful, colorful, whimsical, fun.

Lurie Garden Stone Walkway
Meanders through lush prairie-like plantings.
Seasonal perfection.
These are stones that are installed 6 inches deep.
The size is approximately 11/2" wide by 11" long.
The spaces are filled in with gravel.

Grant Park - Balboa and Michigan Ave., Chicago
My favorite! Crushed granite.
Cement block-type edging keeps gravel from spilling into flowers.
